Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Oklahoma

What an outstanding year 2008 was. I extend a heartfelt thank you to Past Master Bobby Ainsworth for the dedication and leadership with which he guided Akdar Lodge during 2008. Brother Ainsworth’s genuine and sincere efforts made for a fun and memorial Masonic experience for me and all the brothers of Akdar Lodge. Congratulations on a job well done!

In 2008 the brethren of Akdar lodge gained many achievements; Eighteen Master Masons were raised, three Lodge members received ‘C’ cards, two members conferred Degrees for the first time and many brothers worked hard to fill Stations and Places where needed. As a group, your Degree Work is exemplary. As individuals, your dedication is impressive. Keep up the good work.

With becoming zeal, I look forward to 2009 and beyond. It is my desire in the coming year to promote knowledge and understanding of our great fraternity by instituting quarterly Masonic Education events, increase fellowship opportunities with brethren, loved ones and neighbors by holding a Family and Friends Nights and encourage a more active benevolence by hosting a Community Banquet to support local charities. Our Masonic Charge instructs us to put to practice the excellent principles inculcated by our Fraternity. Let us work together to that end.

Akdar Lodge is blessed to have within its ranks many men of knowledge and character. I offer a special thank you to Brothers Art, Gary and Floyd for the guidance and experience they bring to our Lodge Training sessions. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote “Be an opener of doors for such as come after thee.” It is my desire to one day be as helpful and inspiring as my Masonic teachers have been to me.

Akdar Masonic Lodge has a bright future! Please join with us and be a part of something great.

Fraternally,

Barry Wickett, W.M.
